Cam is building a Colnago C60 in a neo-retro Team Mapei style and seeks only the best. It's his very own custom build, so it's got to be right.
He got in contact after reading about our wheels online (posted by another customer) and we took the time to discuss his needs, aspirations, riding style and (importantly) where he rides.
Looking for some carbon rims that are tough, reliable and not going to cost the earth, the new Nextie Premium range of carbon clinchers cannot be beaten. The standard range is already great, but the new Premium NXT45CX rims have a higher Toray T700/T900 carbon content, further improved profiles, and a new high Tg textured braking surface (ala 2017 Enve and Zipp).
Of course, in a dream wheelset, bling and reliability must go hand in hand, and the obvious choice is White Industries T11 hubs. Polished silver hubs and spokes add to that neo-retro aesthetic - the kind of thing a bespoke wheelbuilder loves!
We built these using Sapim Race double butted spokes and Polyax brass nipples. Radial laced on the front, and 3x driveside, 2x offside.
