Luke got in contact, and claimed that he'd been "breaking wheels for ten years now". His most recent purchase had been an Italian mid level factory wheelset, and he came to us after these had broken quite quickly. He's a bigger guy, and uses his wheels for both commuting and weekend rides. He needed 100% reliability, but was on a bit of a budget. We heard from Dylan after an unfortunate accident where he managed to bend the IS 6 bolt rotor mounts on his front hub of his Polygon Bend gravel rig. Polygon were unable to supply a new hub, but we came to the rescue with a quality Bitex BX201FG Centrelock replacement. A step up in quality, and a handy reduction in weight. He chose Centrelock for the replacement as he already had a spare rotor to suit that standard. We laced his original rim onto this new hub with Sapim Race spokes and Dylan was riding again in no time.

We’ve known Steve since the turn off the century when both he and XLR8 worked as bike messengers in Sydney. He’s a big unit and got in contact to discuss some new carbon hoops for his road bike, to service him on the rural roads of mid western New South Wales.Those roads are somewhere between awful and terrible, and Steve wanted a shallow depth carbon wheel that would still be stiff to accomodate his considerable power output. Adam needed an economy replacement hub for his Carbonal wheelset, following some bad luck with his old Tune hub. He was on a budget, and needed a hub that was inexpensive, light and reliable. The XLR8 MD series of road hubs is just that. They are made in Taiwan. We specify the hubs composition. So whilst they may look familiar to some, we determine the bearings, axle type (hint - a stronger alloy) and freehub construction to ensure the best value/quality compromise. We also assemble them in house. We used Sapim CX-Rays on this wheel, laced 2x on both sides....

Peter contacted us after buying his new Scott disc road bike. He was unhappy with the weight of the wheels.
