He recently got in contact regarding some new hoops for his gravel bike. He had some rims from a 29er that were in good shape (the original OEM rear hub had expired) and asked if we could match them with an economy hub. The Novatec 771 came to mind.
We laced these reliable, light and inexpensive hubs onto his Giant rims, using Sapim Race double butted spokes. Alloy nipples on the front wheel, and rear non-driveside (to save a little weight) and wrapped the rim with Stan’s tubeless tape for the inevitable tubeless conversion.
