Daniel is building a classic old steel frame “retromod” style. He’s putting more modern components on for better reliability, stiffness and lower weight.
At the recommendation of his social media network, he approached us to build some new hoops. White Industries T11s (in polished silver) were to be the heart of the build.
His pride and joy deserves nothing but the best, so the HED Belgium+ rim was selected so that all the benefits of a wider rim (better grip, lower rolling resistance and more comfort) could further enhance the “magic carpet ride” of a well sorted steel frame.
This non nonsense build was completed with Sapim Race double butted spokes, and brass nipples – to round out that classic look. Radial front lacing adds some “bling” and a 3x pattern on the rear ensures good power transfer.
