Sean has just bought a beautiful twin top tube Siren Twinzer 29er. This do anything steel hardtail is simply stunning to look at, and with Sean’s new wheels, will ride beautifully as well.
He needed some reliable but reasonably light wheels for Marathon racing, and generally having fun.
After some consultation with XLR8, we decided to use Alex Evo SuperComp 29er rims. These are a super light All-Mountain rim using a very high grade aluminium extrusion, and alloy eyelets to keep weight down to 390g per rim.
In order to ensure that wheel stiffness and reliability would not be lacking, Sapim Race double butted spokes, and brass nipples, were selected. the wheels were build a no nonsense 3x lacing pattern front and rear.
Rounding out a beautiful package, a Hope Pro2 EVO front hub was used, coupled with the ever reliable, strong and simply stunning polished White Industries MI6 rear hub.
