In the case of large hub holes (2.7mm or greater), the Sapim Strong is the recommended choice.

The Sapim Strong is the spoke with a low weight to its built wheel stiffness. Starting with a spoke of 2.34 mm, the shaft diameter is reduced to 2mm during the cold forging process. The bend remains thicker for significantly improved strength, less flexure and therefore lateral wheel stiffness. 

Despite the lighter centre section, Sapim Strong is very durable and is perfectly suited for the big loads occurring in high performance e-bike or tandem wheels. Intended for heavy duty use and utmost reliability, these spokes are produced using the finest materials.
